“Eagle Dancer”

Way-Shower Eagle Dancer

36" H x 36" W x 16" D | Bronze, numbered to 35 editions

Way-Shower Eagle Dancer was originally going to be Icarus from Greek mythology. Icarus made wings of wax and feathers and flew toward the sun, only to have them melt, plummeting him into the sea where he drowned. As I continued sculpting, it became evident that another Native American was being formed. Way-Shower emerged with his Wings in flight and his leg raised, executing the movement of the dance. I'm very happy with the outcome; I think he's magnificent!
